Rental Process Information

At Friar Tux Shop, we strive to make the rental process for your wedding as smooth as possible. Here's what you can expect during your time with us:

• Registering Your Wedding
  

  Although it's not required, we encourage you to register your wedding at least 6 months before the event date. When you come in, you'll select the styles and colors that the men will wear. At the conclusion of this visit, we'll give you a packet of materials explaining more about our company and our new relationship.

  If the wedding is 6 weeks or less away, and if you have time, the groom can be fitted for his tuxedo at this time as well. Ask your formal wear consultant about our free Groom Try-on: a no obligation opportunity for you to try on the styles you'll be wearing on your big day.

• The Fitting Process
  

  Ideally, all of the guys in your wedding party should be fitted at a Friar Tux Shop no later than 3 weeks before the wedding. If one of your party members can't make it before then, that's ok; have them come in as soon as they can. If they can't be fitted until the week of the event, please contact the manager of your home store to make arrangements for a rush order.

• The Pickup and Final Fitting Process
  

  The date of your pickup and final fitting will be arranged with your formal wear consultant when you register your wedding. Typically, we try and have your group's final fitting date be at least 2 days before your wedding.
  When your guys come to pickup, we suggest that they try on their garments to ensure a proper fit. Due to variations between manufacturers or as a result of body changes since their fitting date, some men may prefer to have their garments adjusted for additional comfort. In most cases this can be done while they wait; however, a return visit may be required in some cases.

  Besides trying on their garments, your guys will be asked to pay any remaining balances. If they have not yet done so, they will also be asked to leave a credit card on record as security for the rental, although the actual final payment may be made in other ways.

  One more thing: certain times of year are busier than others. Ask your consultant about this before your final fitting date so that you know how much time to budget.

• The Return Process
  

  Unless other arrangements have been made, your rental order is due back the day after use. Late returns may be subject to extended rental fees, so be sure to get your order back on time.

  For added convenience, garments may be returned to any of our locations.
