"We've all got a little Fifty Shades of Grey fever, with the highly-anticipated film finally opening this weekend. So when this beauty hit our inbox we fell head over heels. Designers Trina Schmidt and Pixies Petals chose the ideal location of the City Club in with its modern, masculine interior and sweeping views of downtown Los Angeles. But it's the tablescape that really got us going."

'A sleek and modern look is what we envisioned for the tablescape, using straight lines and tones of grey and black. The glass table combined with the smokey grey ghost chairs and black leather end chairs from Form Decor worked perfectly, as if Christian Grey had designed it himself,' notes Trina Schmidt of Trina Schmidt Weddings and Events. 'We added beautiful red floral to soften the table for that romantic look. The glass hammered silver rimmed plates, long sleek flatware and mix-matched stemware were selected carefully to continue that modern, unique design. A faux leather table runner, matching pillows and black satin napkins, all from Mod Mix Studio completed the look.'

The inspiration didn't stop there, highlights include the red room which showcases a sexy but classy look through red lounge furniture provided by Form Decor, combined with fur pillows and zebra rug as well as a killer dessert spread from Kim White of Two's A Party who kept the feeling cool, sleek and modern with masculine touches of metal, marble and glass. 'I designed the marble cake stand to feel strong and dominating, demanding attention, yet softened with the Panna Cotta desserts wrapped with black lace, adorned with the red rose petal and the playfully decorated Cake Pops. The splashes of red added the finishing touches to the overall design of the table.'

Adding the perfect finishing touch? A gorgeous, demure lace Alvina Valenta gown featuring a gorgeous open back with delicate jeweled detail and stunning Kate Spade heels. The groom, aka Christian, is looking handsome in a Micheal Kors suit from Friar Tux Shop. But enough with the details..."
