My goal was to have a stress-free wedding with emphasis on spending as much time with our family and friends as possible. I made a promise to myself not to obsess over every detail. We left the food and food displays up to the caterer, flowers were the florists design based on my colors and the venue, and the venue already had most of the rustic, romantic ranch wedding decor that we wanted. I believe that you get the best outcome when you let the experts do their jobs! So there was no micromanaging. Spending time to choose the best group of vendors was the key--they carried themselves. It also helped that we had a very talented group of friends and family that I wholeheartedly trusted to piece everything together on the day of the wedding. We borrowed some decorations and spent some serious time in local thrift shops looking for charming touches. It was a perfect rustic eclectic combination and our best party ever!
