Tips On How to Throw a Fabulous Spanish Style Wedding!
¡Vamos de fiesta! Or in other words: Let's Party! We know that throwing the perfect Spanish Style wedding can be overwhelming, so we have created a photo shoot to help inspire your party planning! Here are some tips and ideas for your soon to be nuptials!
The Venue:
This is a big part of any wedding theme. We certainly would not pick a modern glitzy venue for this theme. You want something with more character and a rustic-type quality. The Crosby Club is the perfect place to hold a Spanish wedding. The white walls and terracotta tiled roof pay perfect homage to the traditional Spanish architecture.
The decor:
There are many themes and traditions that go into this style of wedding. One major decoration that is popular in traditional Spanish weddings are: papel picado. These are cut paper flags that hang over tables and doorways. We have styled this wedding with white colored papel picado, yet it can be in multiple colors depending on what you want on your big day. Another big theme is to have bright and bold colors. These can be in your flowers, place settings, or cake. Spanish culture is rich with color and patterns, so try mixing both to create a unique and authentic atmosphere.
Your Look:
This is where our expertise comes in. Here at Friar Tux Shop we have a large amounts of styles and colors for you to choose from. The Groom on this particular styled shoot is seen in our traditional black tuxedo with a peak lapel and black satin bow tie. We created a unique look by putting two colors of pocket-squares in his jacket for a fun mixture of color.
The bride wore a tulle mermaid dress that has a flamenco inspired skirt. This makes her look modern, yet still traditional. During the ceremony you should wear a Spanish style veil to create a timeless look. Let us not forget her beautiful bold lip color to match the groom's pocket-square!
We hope this has helped you in your quest to create the perfect Spanish inspired wedding! Come into any of our stores to speak to a style consultant about planning your big day. Stop on in and receive a complimentary Ceremony Magazine to see many of our partnered vendors and locations like The Crosby Club!
This shoot was also featured on the Ceremony Magazine blog.
