Destiny Lopez's Quince with Cheyo Carrillo!

Write-up by Jazmine Alvarez of Quinceanera.com: "On a beautiful day in mid November, “Chambelan of your Dreams” contest winner, Destiny Lopez, celebrated her Parisian themed Quinceanera with 16-year-old handsome Mexican Regional singer, Cheyo Carrillo, as her main chambelan. On this day, Miss Lopez reminisced the moment she was called up on stage as the lucky winner during the Quinceanera.com Expo Ontario on September 28th, 2014. “I did not know what to do, I was frozen for minutes until I realized what had happened.” When asked about the most stressful part of planning her quinceanera, she quickly answered “finding my chambelanes.” She is greatful for being chosen as the winner among Cheyo’s thousands of fans.

After being part of a professional photo shoot at Brand Park in Mission Hills with her closest friends and family members, Destiny jumped into a stretched limo with her seven chambelanes to enjoy a ride throughout Hollywood. Meanwhile, as guests entered the venue, Le Monge Banquet Hall in North Hollywood, it felt as if you had traveled thousands of miles away to the city of lights, Paris, France. The venue had been transformed into a magical night in Paris with pretty in pink centerpieces, balloons, elegant lights, and Paris-inspired wallpapers. To keep her guests entertained, there was an amazing photo booth with fun props, a DJ who knew how to keep the crowd dancing, and two live bands.

Destiny stole the spotlight as she danced the waltz in front of all her family members and friends in a pink and ivory dress with a ruffled skirt and rhinestones throughout. Wondering to which song? Could not have been any other than “Vals de Mariposas,” passionately sung by Cheyo Carrillo himself. Our hearts melted as he joined Destiny in the dance floor to personally share this dreamlike moment with her. Right after the waltz, no one could resist dancing as Cheyo Carrillo performed in front of hundreds of enthusiastic guests. Cheyo signed autographs, took pictures with his fans, and each young guest received a Quinceanera.com pink party bag filled with awesome giveaways along with his CD. Destiny’s favorite Cheyo song? “De Sol a Sol.”

Anyone can agree that Cheyo Carrillo always appears handsome regardless of what he wears but on this day he looked especially impressive in a tuxedo courtesy of Friar Tux Shop. Wearing a vibrant white suit jacket & button-up shirt, black slacks, and a bow to complete the look, Cheyo Carrillo joined the gorgeous quinceanera on her very special day.

Destiny Lopez has joyful memories from her incredible parisian-themed Quinceanera that she will sure cherish for the rest of her life! Even though she was sad to leave her childhood behind, she is now ready to open the next chapter of her life as a young woman."
