"Everything Blue" Chic Garden Wedding
Write up from the Bride:
We began by outlining the experience that we wanted our friends and families to have. We had guests coming from around the world, many that had yet to meet and we wanted to create a moment in time that people could come together to celebrate and love. With myself being in the wedding industry and my husband being a musician, and us both being self-proclaimed foodies, we knew we wanted our guests to have an evening involving all of their senses. To make this a reality, we had the privilege of working with some amazing friendors and we could not be more thankful for the process. Our goal was for each vendor to have a canvas to create and get to do something extraordinary that they were truly excited about.
We began with a modern black and white décor juxtaposed against bright and textured florals all underneath the soft covering of a tidewater tent. We wanted to bring in elements that were a nod to our families and our story as well and we began at the very beginning. For my engagement ring, we chose a vintage setting and used my grandmothers diamond which is beyond special to me. On our wedding day I was able to wear the earrings that my mom wore on my parents wedding day and our cake topper that goes back to my grandparents and was also used by my parents. As we danced atop our striped dance floor to Norah Jones Come Away With Me we thought back on our first time ever dancing together, to the very same song, and could not help but feel that we had succeeded in taking our guests away with us along our journey.
