This Maravilla Gardens wedding will make you fall in love with Jenn and Evan right away! They had so much fun on their wedding day and it was a blessing to witness these two become one. We wanted to make sure you heard their engagement story because it is every girls dream come true! It was X-mas Eve 2013 and Evan told me he wanted to go pick out a Christmas gift for his mom. He has a family friend who owns a jewelry store and he was looking for a beautiful piece for his mom. I was extremely difficult and really had no desire to go shopping for gifts the day before Christmas! After he finally convinced me to go, we walked in and were looking at necklaces his mom might like. We decided on one and Evan took the necklace to the counter and handed it to the jeweler. The jeweler handed him back a box, which I assumed was the necklace we had just picked out, but then Evan came to me, grabbed my hand, and made a speech about how much he loved me and asked me to marry him. I cried (a lot!) and said yes. What a story! And their wedding was just as perfectly planned and it melted our hearts.

Our Style Notes:

Obviously vintage weddings and rustic barn weddings are a huge trend right now-- we are loving the way this couple used those trends but still kept the overall style classic with a primarily white palette and pops of dusty purple. The white canopy over the wedding guests during the ceremony is pure genius, it looked chic and every person who has attended a summer wedding can understand how appreciated a detail like this is! The bridesmaids wore various shades of light purple chiffon dresses and the bride had a beautiful crystal headpiece with her ivory lace trumpet gown. The groom wore a charcoal suit with ivory neck wear to match the bride while the groomsmen wore a lighter grey shade of the same suit with fun plaid purple ties. The guys looked sharp in the rustic setting and their plaid ties just took the whole look up a notch!
