Metallic Inspired Modern Wedding
With the sparkle of the new year coming fast upon us, we wanted to take a moment to talk about incorporating metallics into your big day. Mixing metals in weddings is a popular trend right now, so when we came across Megan and Juan's elegant pewter wedding in Costa Mesa we knew we wanted to share it with all of you. By adding this soft color in perfectly placed areas in the decor and styling, softens the color pallet, while still keeping the feel of a traditional and classic wedding. The bridesmaids wore all different shades of pewter, including some with delicate beading in a fun overall print. The dresses looked elegant while still complimenting the bride's full tulle ball gown. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with pewter vests and bow ties. This creates a fun cohesive look within the bridal party. The groom kicked up his look by adding a bow tie with a slight pattern to it, that had both the pewter and deep charcoal stripes. This allows him to be different, while still keeping with the tone of the rest of the bridal party.
We absolutely loved the subtle tones of purple to add a little extra sparkle to the mix. Megan and Juan perfectly placed the purple accents in decor elements like the cake, the seating cards, and the florals- such as Megan's sweet and simple lavender bouquet. If you are planning a holiday wedding, we hope this helped you with how to incorporate metallic tones without going full glitter-Gatsby.
