Playful Elegance Wedding Style
Write up from the photographer, Alyssa:
The masterful architectural space, Salk Institute served as the initial inspiration for this styled wedding. Bold structural elements and rhythmic flow were the features we wanted to create for our bride. With this in mind, we partnered with The New Children’s Museum of San Diego which boasts exposed concrete and innovative style. Our bride would choose this venue for it’s modern appeal, but also for it’s playful attitude–it is a children’s museum after all!
Our bride wore the Rosa Clará ‘Nevin’ ballgown from H.Kles Bridal Boutique which contained drama and classic design features. Erin Fader Design jewels accented and added extra femininity and Jen Bueno’s fabulous hair completed her bridal look. For our groom, we paired the sleek shall lapel Friar Tux in black, for a classic and timeless look.
Our polished tablescape details included: blush pink bowls, pretty glasses, black utensils and floral and stripe patterned napkins- all dreamed up by our talented coordinator, Ashley of Adore Design, which developed our modern and trendy aesthetic. The fantastic geometric centerpieces, featuring romantic and organic florals by Joy of Blooms, and velvet linens from Raphael’s elevated the design. Ashley also created a Moscow Mule bar, featured in The Sound Room, for cocktail hour inspiration and blends current trends with the lighthearted atmosphere. To explore our theme further, Heirloom Cakes whipped up a creative trio of cakes and Parcel Design Co. designed a modern stationary ensemble with beautiful calligraphed envelopes from Kristy Sugg. We are so thankful for all of the creative vendors who partnered with us on this Modern Chic Wedding Styled Shoot. What an adventure to connect, organize and produce a beautiful work with such wonderful collaborators!
