Friar Tux is known for dressing grooms and wedding members for the wedding day, BUT we are also awesome at helping grooms decide on their rehearsal dinner look, if we do say so ourselves. So if you're a groom and are wondering, "what should I wear to my rehearsal dinner?" well, we have answers for you. For this San Diego rooftop wedding the bride and groom went with bright and fun styles for the rehearsal dinner and then a much more elegant look for the wedding day. The groom wore a bright blue suit with a long pink floral tie and brown shoes with no socks, a look we love, next to the bride in a short white dress with a frill detail at the bottom which was perfect for dancing. The rehearsal dinner is a time to wear your best party look that is somewhat formal but not nearly as formal as what you will wear for the wedding day. We recommend the groom wear a suit for the rehearsal dinner since there will be lots of family members there (all those in-laws that you are still trying to impress) as well as a lot of photos being taken. Wearing a tie and pocket square is optional but we recommend at least one or the other. The bride and groom should try to coordinate their rehearsal dinner looks, they don't have to perfectly match but in the least they should not clash.
Jumping to the wedding itself, the groom was totally classic in a black slim fit tuxedo and black bow tie while the bride wore a beautiful strapless gown in a chiffon meets lace type of material. The overall wedding style included Aztec style rugs, wicker furniture and colorful floral arrangements. Even though it was a very vibrant design, the bride and groom still look modern in their classic attire showing that there is no rule on how to put together your wedding design. Every couple should make their wedding their own by wearing something that they always dreamed of for walking down the aisle as well as incorporating influences from current wedding trends that speak to them. Top it all off by being in a rooftop venue and overlooking the whole city and it's going to be a fantastic event!
