Menswear Style: Dark Blue Notch Lapel Suit by Ike Behar with a navy skinny long tie
There are so many elements that we love about this wedding that it is hard to know where to begin, so let's start with the setting... an Orchid farm is definitely a newer type of wedding venue and it leaves plenty of room for imagination when it comes to the wedding design. In the case of our customers, they loved the natural setting and wove flowers into many aspects of the wedding design, including literally weaving flowers and greenery into the bride's hair as a nod to her mother's beautiful 70's wedding hair style. The bridesmaids wore an assortment of gowns from Anthropologie in a jewel tone palette, each one being able to choose the gown and color she preferred. When it came to the groomsmen styles, the bride and groom asked us, "What do we do? Do we match the neck wear to one of the gown colors, to each of the gowns, keep it neutral?" These are the dilemmas we love to work on with customers, it's a chance for the groom to learn about his personal style and a time for our stylists to get to experiment with different looks. As part of his in-store style selection process, the groom tried on several ties with the dark blue suit he had already chosen from us and after a few swaps, decided that neutral was the way to go. So the groom wore a navy tie slightly darker than his suit, and the groomsmen wore light tan ties and everyone wore light brown shoes. The ring bearers, who sometimes match the groom's look, matched the rest of the groomsmen for this wedding.
We love the photos in front of the Santa Barbara coastline and train tracks as well as in the various green rooms, how unique! We hope you fill up your pinterest board with plenty of fresh wedding ideas from this beautiful California coastal wedding.
