Unique Boutonnière Ideas
Traditionally, a boutonnière is a single flower worn by men on special occasions. The word boutonnière actually means "buttonhole" in French. There is some confusion about where to place a boutonnière, we oftentimes see it too high or too low on the lapel or sometimes even on the coat by the breast pocket! When considering where to pin a boutonnière on a coat, remember the original meaning of boutonnière and that it should be placed through the buttonhole of the lapel, or if your lapel does not have a hole, the boutonnière should go where the hole would be on the left lapel. Boutonnières often time get overlooked because it is a small detail out of the grand scheme of things on your wedding day.
