Vy + Chris' Salt Flats Engagement Shoot

Location: Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah
Photography: Lin & Jirsa Photography
Menswear Style: Navy Tuxedo Jacket with a blue shirt and Black Notch Lapel Tuxedo with a long black tie
Not everyone has the luxury of traveling to a majestic, out of this world location for their engagement photos, but if you can make it happen, this shoot is proof that it will be worth it! Vy and Chris chose the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where a thin layer of water runs over a field of salt creating a "walking on water scene" with stunning a background. If you can't make it to Utah, take note of their roadside shots with mountains and desert vegetation which make for romantic and interesting engagement images. Vy's red grecian gown is so dramatic and perfect for the unique setting. Next to her, Chris wore a black tux with white shirt and black skinny tie, he looks so classic and perfectly compliments the red gown by staying neutral. In their second look, Vy wore a white and black linear gown and Chris changed into a navy tuxedo with a light blue shirt, he skipped the tie since an engagement photo shoot is less formal than a wedding. We love how he found a more casual balance of wearing a tuxedo without a tie. Wearing two different looks for their engagement session was a great idea since they shot in two different areas of the Bonneville Salt Flats. We hope this styling and location provides you with plenty of inspiration!
