We are big big fans of The East Angel venue in Los Angeles. We hosted one of our summer fashion bashes there and trust us when we say it is a one-of-a-kind venue that will wow your guests. Located in the chic Arts District in DTLA this place is a cool blend of modern and trendy. This place has an outdoor and indoor space with minimalistic industrial design elements, making it a blank canvas to create whatever vibe you desire.
This wedding went for a chic monochromatic design that we are swooning over! For the ceremony, the space was decorated with modern white chairs, white candles, and a whimsical white baby’s breath floral altar. We love the balance of the cool white color with the warm wood tones of the space. For the reception inside, there were white tables and chairs that were adorned in white linens and flatware. A great way to make a monochromatic style look dynamic is by using different sheens and tones. For example, the tables are a matte wood, the plates have a romantic shine, and the linens bring an airy element to the space.
The bride wore a white A-line gown with a lace high neckline. We love how she paired her gown with her hair up and a crystal head piece. The groom kept with the monochromatic vibes by wearing our White with Black Shawl Lapel Tuxedo and white + black polka dot bowtie and pocket square. Again his look is monochromatic but interesting due to the different textures and tones of the garments.
