Okay, from start to finish this wedding was pure perfection! Brent and Breanne truly made their wedding unique and all their own by incorporating a modern color scheme with traditional flare. Not to mention the fun cultural aspects that our friend (and planner) Megan Tinio of Magical Moments by Megan gave us the scoop on!

The ceremony overlooked the bay for an epic ‘I do’ backdrop. We love how the dusty blue in the sky and water complements the bridal party’s looks perfectly. We love how the couple used the beauty of the venue and their love to shine with their chic minimalistic wedding design, and those florals are STUNNING!

Now, we wanted all the inside scoop on this wedding and our amazing friendor (friend + vendor) Megan Tinio let us know it all! For the reception the bride changed out of her bridal gown and into a traditional Chinese cultural gown called a Qipao. We love the bold color and print of the gown, and the bride could not have looked any more gorgeous! A fun part of their reception was the performance of the Lion Dance by The Southern Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association.

“Lions represent joy and happiness and they say the dance is to bring luck to the couple and also rid them/their marriage of evil. The scrolls they hold up can be customized but typically they say “good wealth” or “health and happiness”, etc. The Lion Dance and Dragon Dance have a similar intent but are easily confused and they are different. The Lion Dance is performed with (2) characters/dancers - one in each costume and a Dragon Dance usually has more performers (15-20) that are all holding up (1) dragon character. The Lion Dancers choreography is more based in martial arts and the Dragon Dance is more like a parade/weaving-through-the-crowd type of performance.” – Magical Moments by Megan

Thank you Breanne and Brent for sharing your special day with us!
