Elegant Gothic Wedding
Venue: The 1909
Day of Coordination + Planning: The Bride Concierge
Wedding Design: Amanda Hetrick
Photography: Mandee Johnson Photography
Menswear Style: Black Shawl Lapel Tuxedo with a black shirt and skinny tie
Can we just take a second to admire Amanda + Cody's wedding that is full of personal touches and gothic elegance! We love how Cody wore all black look, while his groomsmen wore white shirts. This is a great way to make your groom stands out from his groomsmen. All black is one of our favorite looks, by wearing a black shirt with a black tuxedo jacket it created texture on contrast. The satin of the lapel against the more matte look of the shirt will never be a boring look! Bravo to Cody for elevating his wedding day attire with a custom lapel pin.
Write up from 100 Layer Cake and the Bride:
"We brought things from our home like all the skulls, kewpies, and photobooth stripes that represent us well and our love of collecting old and macabre things. We love darker tones, almost gothy, but also romantic and timeless so the for the flowers we were both super into over the top tonal arrangements. We also wanted nature to play the biggest part in the decor, so the venue was perfect for that.
Congrats Amanda + Cody! Also can we borrow your umbrella, we forgot ours at home.
