Write up from Jen Events:
This styled shoot was inspired by the amazing work of Filament Vintage Lighting. He designs these unique filament lighting fixtures that screams modern-day Steampunk so I had to ask him if he would be interested in collaborating for a styled shoot! I had so much fun designing this offbeat wedding. When searching for venues, I stumbled upon this beautiful gem in Costa Mesa called Gray Matter Museum of Art. It was breathtaking inside with its exposed pipes and beams and the concrete floors. From there, amazing vendor after amazing vendor joined in on the fun!
Kelsey Daffern Photography has an amazing eye for detail and she shot everything perfectly. Nic and Day Bridal provided an Elizabeth Dye two-piece wedding dress that was black and so perfect for the modern-day Steampunk bride. The tulle gave it a fun flowy vibe. Fuse Hair and Beauty made the bride look totally flawless with her dark red lip. Party Pieces by Perry provided a variety of items for this styled shoot. First, they provided the farm table set as well as the blue upholstered chairs that gave the scenery a pop of a color. They also provided the dark blue sofa with the modern gold side tables. Lastly, they provided the cake stand with the open glass bottom as well.
Hadley Custom Designs created the invitation suite and place cards that were modern and clean, and even included tiny gears on it. Friar Tux provided our groom with a Burgundy Shawl Lapel Tuxedo with a leather bow tie. Kats Floral Creations designed the ultra lush bouquet that included an all white king protea from South Africa. Laura Maries designed a beautiful two-tiered square wedding cake that included sugar gears. Baker Party Rentals provided the tableware including the beautiful rose gold flatware and the copper pressed glassware. Waveform Events provided the gobo and the amber uplighting that added to the Steampunk vibe. Happily Ever Etched provided the laser etched names in copper and the copper etched champagne glasses!
