Christiane + Gabe's Stunning Black and White Wedding

From the moment we saw Christiane and Gabe’s stunning wedding we fell in love! The classic black-and-white wedding design with modern touches is just simply perfect.

The ceremony was on the great lawn with greenery glowing all around. The arch had blooming white florals that radiated around the couple during their I-dos. The reception was under string lights with white linen tables and black seated chairs. We love the details of green to make the whole design feel warm and cozy. Plus, how freaking gorgeous is that cake?!

The bride wore a beautiful white lace A-line gown with floral appliques and a v-neckline. She paired her look with Hollywood waves and a cathedral lace-trimmed veil. The groom rocked it out in our White with Black Shawl Lapel Tuxedo, for a fun-yet-classic look. We love that all the wedding party members all wore black styles to really make the bride and groom pop, while still keeping with the color scheme.

Friar Tux: What was the inspiration behind your wedding design?

Christiane: We chose a simple, black + white with greenery aesthetic for our wedding. For our details, we also wanted to incorporate small hints of all the things that make us, us: our seating sign was designed like one of Gabe's favorite board games, Catan, thanks to my awesome sister; we hired our favorite Boba shop in town, Brew Tea, to cater our favorite milk and fruit tea boba; as part of our giveaways, we also gave out Brew Tea's mason jar cups with personalized cartoon stickers of us in some our favorite shows/movies, etc.

Friar Tux: What was the most memorable part of your wedding?

Christiane: I would like to say the entire day was memorable! Other than marrying the love of my life, seeing all our favorite people in one place, and dancing the night away, I really enjoyed the surprise dance Gabriel performed for me with a couple of our close friends... my Dad even made a special guest appearance!

Friar Tux: Any advice you would give to couples just starting the planning process?

Christiane: Being an avid planner myself, I never imagined the type of stress wedding planning could give! At the very beginning of wedding planning, figure out your budget. Then from there, determine with your spouse what the top non-negotiables are that you need to have at your wedding and what are "would like to haves." Once you've identified your must-haves and want-to-haves, create a list of action items and make a schedule over the time you have left before the wedding. If you are able to, I ABSOLUTELY recommend hiring a planner or 60-day coordination! We hired our wedding planner/day-of coordinator 60 days out, so I was able to make the big decisions and plan out everything the way I wanted, then my planner took over from there! We absolutely loved all the vendors we hired, and if we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!
