This is a celebration, a forming of a marital union. Its two people becoming something greater than they once were! Love is love and there shouldnt be any boundaries. The inspiration behind this style shoot came from the modern structure and clean lines on the architecture of City Club Los Angeles. Design stylists at Love Is Sweet Events wanted to showcase the magnificent view of the downtown LA city lights and capture the inspiring sunset of a beautiful summer night. Therefore, the ceremony altar area was draped in a simple framing as to not take away from the city view. Tall pillar candles in clear cylinder vases and flickering strands of white lights, were added to create the romantic ambience (...continued below)
To design a modern, masculine look, the color scheme of choice was green, white and light gray. With white flowers and lots of greenery, the simple and elegant design began to take its shape. A green hedge wall used for the lounge area to create a visually appealing encompassment. Floral arrangements at the corners of the hedge created a visual border, while actual frames alternating within its structure were added to keep within the photo theme. A Polaroid opportunity added a touch of united celebration and an offered an activity of making memories for the guests who were invited to take a photo and by hang it in a frame. The guests could also write a piece of advice for the couple and hang within the frames. The basic elegance and comfort of the vintage furniture and wooden coffee tables created a beautiful area for the sign-in book. The decor was further enhanced by the presence of golden votives and a gold vase. The accent of gold in certain areas was just enough to add that spark of light that needs to only appear in tiny strokes to illuminate the magical feeling of love. The simplicity of design was carried through in the graphics of the invitations. The clean and formal look is also present on the wedding cake, with the succulent and petite flowers. Overall, the combination of the different forms of light, the candles, the altar lights, as well as the glow from the city, was to illuminate the magic of love and symbolize its continuance.
