We are so excited to give our annual Wedding Trends list for 2024! Every year we break down what we believe the top trends of the year are going to be based on our deep connection and knowledge of the wedding industry. This time we are going bigger and better with not 5, not 10, but 20 wedding trends to bring into your special day in 2024.
In no official order we will cover everything from small design elements, to overall themes. Let’s get started!
1. Audio Guest Book
Say goodbye to the outdated written guest book and hello to one of the most fun trends on our list! Have your guests leave loving messages into a vintage phone to keep later. Several companies even will save the messages on a custom vinyl to add to the overall chicness of this trend.

2. Black + White Weddings
Black and white weddings have always been a hit, but they are back with a vengeance this year! Couples are taking this trend to the most stylish degree, and we are living for it. No matter what detail big or small, drip your wedding in this vibe for a showstopping wedding day. Just between us, we are uber obsessed with a black and white dance floor!

3. Mini Cakes
Now, we still love a grand cake moment but we are really into this new trend of having several smaller cakes instead of a single big one. Or a small cake for each of your tables that your guests can cut and serve themselves. It is such a whimsical moment and fun detail, and you can make each cake be another décor element that matches your theme.

4. Colorful Weddings
Color color color! Colorful flowers, table décor, dresses, drinks…color is sweeping the wedding industry and we are here for it. We would like to thank Bridgerton for this style trend, where everything was stunning and chic but done in a plethora of color and texture! Bring this element into your special day and all your guests will swoon.

5. Intimate Elopements
Elopements really boomed a few years ago out of necessity with the pandemic. Now more couples are choosing to ditch the big wedding and instead do whimsical elopements. We’re not just talking about a chic city hall moment. We are talking about grand destinations, stunning views, and dreamy photography. Where would you tie the knot if you did a destination elopement?

6. Drink Towers
Drink towers have been a go-to trend for a few years now, but we are no longer keeping to the confides of just champagne! No, we are towering espresso martinis, cosmos, margaritas, and more! The tower options are endless…

7. Seating Chart
Gone are the boring seating charts, let them add as much personality as you do to the party! This is one of the first things your guests see when entering your reception, so make sure they go with your theme and really add a wow factor.

8. Interactive Reception
This trend we are breaking down encompasses a few different things: interactive wedding receptions. What we mean by this are: parts of the reception where your guests get involved or get to experience something unique such as:
Pop up events: like this couple who had a tattoo artist at their wedding doing flash-style tattoos that were special to the couple.
Pourable bars: these couples let their guests pour their own drinks with a special tap wall or cart.
Fun exits: where your guests get to see you off in style with sparklers, lights, flowers, bubbles, whatever speaks to your soul.
Live intimate music: we are not talking about you having a band instead of a DJ. We are talking about for a small portion of cocktail hour, dinner, ect where a live musician serenades people and tables.
There are several other types of interactive reception ideas you could do: permanent jewelry, live painter, face painting for the after party….what idea speaks to you?

The mini dress is in! This can be for your second look, your elopement, or afterparty look but the mini is maxing the fashion section of this list!

10. Mix and Match Bridal Party Looks
The mix and match wedding party looks have been widely used for the dresses for a long time now. But now it is also starting to trickle into the suits/tuxedos aspects as well – and we love it. This is when you give specific colors or textures to your suit-wearing members, and let them bring their own style to the moment. This could be everyone in a different look/color/or style or in monochromatic looks what have you.
For my wedding (below) I had my groom in Caramel, groomsmen in Tan, and then 2 of my bridesmaids wore the Ivory Paisley and the Gold Velvet.
This style idea is bold, but when executed it is fabulous!

11. Monochromatic Weddings
Monochromatic weddings are stunning and so fun to design. This is when you take one color and use it in different shades, textures, and tones to create a unique moment. Like this fun Parisian green moment with the bold chairs, the vibrant plates, stunning chargers… all the details giving a special nod to the color.
You can do this with a bright color like green or a neutral color like black or white. Whatever you choose, we know it will be stunning.

12.The Modern Mustard Trend
Mustard is going to be a go-to color this season! Whether you use it as smaller details or your grand floral arch, where this color sits it makes a presence. We just love pairing it with our Tan Notch Lapel Suit or our new Brown Notch Lapel Suit to really bring out that earthy romantic feel of the color.

13. Neutral Weddings
To go with the modern mustard trend, number 13 on our list is the ever-stunning neutral weddings! This style will never go out of fashion, but the elements you use can be trendy and fun. Go with warm dreamy neutral tones and add depth with textures and tones. And check out all our dreamy neutral suits and tuxedos that will complement perfectly with this style of wedding.

14. Old Money Wedding Aesthetic
Thank you Sofia Richie for really bringing this vibe to life with her GORGEOUS wedding! Old Money Aesthetic is not about how much you spend on the wedding, it is about the details. The luxe fabrics, old world style venues, classic silhouettes, simple colors, these are the elements that bring to this style of wedding.

15. Usable Non-Monogrammed Favors
Gone are the monogrammed wedding favors that get tossed or lost before your guests make it home. The new trend that we love are usable non-monogrammed wedding favors like reusable bags, bottles of wine, or like what we did for my wedding below – Turkish towels!
We wanted to give our guests something we use constantly like our towels. We have seen so many of our guests from our wedding last year using their towels and it warms my heart knowing the money did not go to waste and people love them.
