Best Wedding Dates of 2024!
Congratulations on your big engagement! Now, we know you may have had your Pinterest board with inspiration dialed in for a while but now it is here – wedding planning!
Before you get the quotes from vendors and start mapping everything out, there is one essential thing to do first…pick a wedding date.
If you are tying the knot in 2024, we will go month by month, and highlight things to keep in mind when selecting a date.
Now, a quick how-to to get started:
How to Pick a Date:
Start with dates that are meaningful/symbolic for you as a couple.
- Is it the day of your first date? Or maybe the date you got engaged? The date may also represent something special in your heritage/culture.
Pick a season that works for where you live/are celebrating.
- Having an August wedding in the desert may be a bit hot. But these issues could be accommodated with the right venue/décor but just keep the season in mind.
Keep your budget in mind.
-
Some months or days of the week are cheaper to get married than others, so ask the venues you love if they have different price points during different months or if there is a price break based on the day of the week.
Talk it out with your close friends and family.
- Yes, it is your special day. But you can certainly take your closest friends and family’s schedules into account. This could help make sure the ones you truly cannot do the day without will be available.

In this blog we will break down several factors to consider when picking a wedding date: National Holidays, Cute Holidays, Lucky Dates, and Moon Phases.
National Holidays: Some might not want to get married on a holiday, but think of it in 2 ways – one, the fun of getting married on a cultural or national holiday, and two, many holidays come with a long weekend. Long weekend holidays are great for those who may be traveling far for your wedding. As well, it is great for your wedding party to have an extra day of rest before they have to go back to reality after getting their party and dance on at your wedding.
Cute Holidays: These are just fun dates that you use in your décor, wedding favors, ceremony, reception etc. Let’s say you and your fiancé are big beer lovers, maybe on National Beer Lover’s Day you pass out pints as your wedding favors, or if it’s National Pet Day, have your pet be part of your wedding party. The cute ideas are simply endless on these cute holidays.
Lucky Dates: These are dates according to beliefs and customs that are said to be auspicious. Now, you might not believe in lucky dates, but for those who are looking for a lucky dates guide, this list of dates may be help.
Moon Phases: This part is for the celestial lovers out there, those who look to the stars and sky for meaning and answers. We have the New Moon and Full Moon phases of each month on here for you to consider.
The New Moon inspires feelings of creativity, energy, and compassion. Couples who are married under a New Moon will begin their marriage with pure intentions and elevated energies.
The Full Moon is when the moon is fully illuminated over the Earth, beginning a heightened feeling of passion, ambition, energy, and courage. Couples who wed on a full moon bring balance, equality, unity, and harmony to their marriage.
